Tessera Lab

Tessera Lab is the kind of puzzle game you tell yourself you'll play for one level and then look up an hour later. You slide and rotate colored tiles to complete patterns, and each level introduces a small twist to the rules you have to figure out on the fly. It never repeats itself for long.

What makes it click is the pacing — levels are short, hints are optional, and there's no timer breathing down your neck. When I got stuck I could set it down and the solution usually surfaced later. Difficulty climbs steadily but never feels unfair.

The whole thing works offline and takes almost no storage. It's a great one to keep installed for waiting rooms and long flights.
